SEASONAL WAREHOUSE & PRODUCTION ASSISTANT

bean goods is hiring! we're looking for one reliable, detail-obsessed human to join our in house team in signal hill, california for the busiest season of the year.

Schedule

  • Full-time, Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm
  • Starts immediately
  • Runs through mid-January
  • We are closed December 24 through January 1

Hourly Wage

$18 - $20/hour, depending on experience

What We Are Looking For

Our in house team is four people, so the person we add for the holidays matters a lot. This is not a role where you do one task for eight hours. You will be in the middle of everything: printing apparel, packing orders, keeping inventory tight, and jumping in wherever the day needs you. You will learn a lot, fast.

One thing to know up front: we print our apparel by hand, one piece at a time. Where a design lands on a shirt is the whole ballgame. Crooked or off-center means we eat the cost. You do not need printing experience, but you do need an eye for placement and the patience to get it right every time.

Our company is headquartered in Signal Hill, California and prospective candidates must live in the general area.

Warehouse, fulfillment or production experience is preferred but not required. We will train you.

Duties Include But Are Not Limited To

  • Pull, pack & ship orders in an efficient & accurate manner
  • Print apparel merchandise by hand
  • Prep garments & materials for production
  • Sticker, bag & tag product
  • Restock & organize inventory, flag what is running low
  • Inspect goods for defects & damages
  • Help keep the warehouse clean & running
  • Occasional merchandising & tagging on the retail side

Qualifications

  • Shows up to work on time, every day
  • Honest, reliable, trustworthy
  • A creative eye. Straight lines, even spacing, good placement. This one is not optional, it is how our apparel gets made.
  • Detail-oriented & deadline-oriented
  • Comfortable jumping between tasks without being told twice
  • Able to be on your feet for a full 8 hour shift
  • Able to lift 30-40 lbs
  • Reliable transportation to Signal Hill
  • Must be able to work alone & with a team
  • Apparel printing or production experience a BIG PLUS
  • Must love dogs
